Pregnant? Think you might be?

The Mother’s Cove at City of Refuge GoodLife Foundation is here to help moms in your neighborhood get connected to caring support and early prenatal care. Free. Confidential. From people in your community.

Here's how it works.

  1. You reach out.

Fill out a quick form or call/text us. It takes less than two minutes.

  2. We connect you to a Community Health Worker

A Community Health Worker will reach out - by text, call , or in person - to learn what you need and how we can help

  3. We walk with you.

From finding a doctor to navigating insurance to connecting with food, housing, and other resources. We're here through pregnancy and beyond.

What is Mothers Cove?

Mothers Cove is a program from City of Refuge GoodLife Foundation, right here in your neighborhood. We help expectant moms get connected to prenatal care as early as possible and find the support they need – from pregnancy through their baby’s first years.

Our Community Health Ambassadors live and work in the same zip codes they serve. They’re not case workers from downtown. They’re neighbors who understand what you’re going through and know how to help you get the care you deserve.

In our community, infant mortality rates are nearly double the county average. Getting connected to care early changes outcomes. That’s why we’re here.

What we can help with.

Getting a pregnancy test

If you’re not sure yet, we can help you get tested and figure out next steps.

Finding a prenatal care provider

Getting connected to a doctor or midwife and getting to your first appointment.

Understanding your insurance options

Including Medicaid enrollment and navigating the healthcare system.

Food, housing, and transportation help

Connecting you to resources so you can focus on your health.

Someone to talk to

Who listens without judgment and walks with you through every step.

A community of other moms

Through our free 6-week support program and ongoing check-ins after your baby arrives.

You're safe here.

We know it can feel scary to reach out. Maybe you've had bad experiences with the healthcare system. Maybe you're not sure you can trust anyone with this yet. That's okay.

Everything you share with us is confidential. There is no judgment. There is no pressure. There is no wrong time to call. Whether you're four weeks along or twelve, whether you have insurance or not, whether this is your first pregnancy or your fifth - we're here.

Supported by

You might be wondering.

Yes. There is no cost to you for any of our outreach, support, or care navigation services.

That's exactly why we're here. We can help you get a pregnancy test and figure out next steps. No pressure, no judgment.

Great. We can still support you with education, resources, and community. We're here to fill the gaps, not replace the care you already have.

They're trained neighbors from your community who understand the local healthcare system and want to help moms thrive. You might see them at libraries, community centers, or local events this fall.

It's never too late to get support. We help moms at any stage of pregnancy and after delivery, too.

Not at all. You decide what you need and when. If you're interested in our free 13-week cohort, we'll share that info. If you just need help finding a doctor right now, that's fine too.

Ready when you are.

It takes less than two minutes to get started. Or call or text us anytime.
